Hey Orchestra!
Another pretty normal week, but our concert is now 2 1/2 weeks away! As I sit in my office writing this update, I’ve been glad to see so many instruments going home for the weekend. Remember, you can’t fix every problem, but anything you fix in practice is PROGRESS.
Booster Meeting
Our first General Booster meeting for ALL parents will be held on Monday, September 26th at 7:00 PM in the Orchestra Hall. (Room 506) ALL parents are welcome! We’ll be discussing the upcoming concerts, fundraisers, socials for the students, and more! We’d love to see you there!
Concert Details
Our performers are welcome to wear costumes to the concert as long as they’re PG and school appropriate! I’ll be asking for a costume preview before we get on stage.
Elementary age students are encouraged to wear costumes to the concert! Any elementary age student in costume will receive candy at the concerts conclusion!
And we’re asking for donations of candy for the effort! Please, if possible, send at least one bag of mixed Halloween Candy up to school with your orchestra student.

Also, parents, if you think you would be willing to help chaperone for us at any point in the next two years, please fill out the district volunteer form through Voly, linked below! It’s required before parents travel with the organization, and we would love to have you if you’re willing and able!

Report Cards
A handful of us won’t have an A on our report cards. Let me tell you, there’s only one reason for that in my class - we didn’t turn in our work!
Next Six Weeks test grades are ALREADY posted in Schoology. Think ahead, and make an A in orchestra! (There’s no reason not to!)
Orchestra Council
Orchestra Council Officers will meet again this week at 4:30 PM on Wednesday afternoon.
