Cut Time!
Here’s a big one! I’ve been working very hard this semester to update Cut Time, our digital database and management system in ECISD Fine Arts, as well as enter ALL of our inventory into Cut Time so we can better track everything within our program. ALL high school students have been manually entered and have sign up information in their ECISD email address if they haven’t already signed in and accessed their account.
STRING PARENTS: Register for Cut Time! Information for Cut Time is can be found here! Going forward this is going to be essential for how we manage our program. This allows you to see detailed information about:
Your students’ Information in Cut Time
Instruments - checked out to your student and all checkout history
Uniforms - checked out to your students and all checkout history
Financial Information - Coming Soon - Regarding any monies owed and paid to the boosters for your student, and histories for the same. Note: this hasn’t been implemented yet, but will be soon
Required Forms - Most, and eventually all, of our required paperwork will be distributed, submitted, and catalogued digitally through cut time as well.
And it provides another means of communication, as weekly emails can be sent out via Cut Time to help keep you in the loop!
Again, Parents, please take a few minutes and register for Cut Time! It’s going to become an essential part of our program!
S&E
Those who signed up will have S&E piece options distributed when we return. Final decisions on S&E have to made before we leave for Christmas break.
Third Six Weeks Assignments
All three playing assignments for this six weeks are now past due. If you haven’t taken care of it yet, please do so. Any grade is better than a zero!
Evening Rehearsals
Reminder, as we’ve discussed, evening rehearsals are mandatory. Conflicts should be discussed with me in advance, and we’ll talk about whether or not it’s excused. The Handbook you received at the beginning of the year covers most scenarios. If you need a ride, reach out to your peers. I promise someone can give you a ride if you simply ask.

2nd Period - Meet in the PAC

4:15 PM - Brief rehearsal with winds in the PAC after school
5:15 PM (Approximate) - Release from rehearsal. Go get dinner (on your own)
6:00 PM - Change into Uniforms
6:30 PM - Inspection in the Orchestra Hall
6:45 PM - Head over to PAC
7:00 PM - Concert Begins!
