Broncho Orchestra January 27, 2023
Hey Orchestra!
Wow! It’s been an incredibly busy week! We’re now at the half way point in contest preparation. From here on out it’s full steam ahead onto March 7th! Next week, in addition to your sectional and the Tuesday string rehearsal, we have a FULL ORCHESTRA rehearsal on Thursday. This includes all personnel. Please be present at all rehearsals and keep practicing so we can put our best performance forward on Contest Day!
Please take a moment to read through these important reminders:
Assignments in Schoology
The Playing Assignments (which are test grades!) are up in Schoology. Please log in, check the due dates, and take care of them in a prompt manner. The first one is due this coming weekend! (1/29)
Remember to go to “My Courses” to find the newly created course section, like I’ve shown you in class.
Once there scroll all the way to the bottom and find either Symphony Orchestra (for 2nd period) or Philharmonic Orchestra (for 3rd period). In your course you should see the 4th Six Weeks folder. If you don’t see that, you aren’t in the right course!
Contest Season!
Please remember that rehearsals and sectionals are mandatory and part of your grade! This calendar was distributed last fall so everyone had a chance to make accommodations. Check this week’s schedule below.
Remember, if you fail to attend enough rehearsals, you will not be allowed to perform with us at contest!
Solo & Ensemble
If you’re signed up for Solo & Ensemble, you should have been practicing over the break! Our accompanist will be meeting with us on January 23rd and 26th in class. I’ll have the cost soon. Please be practicing!
Spring Trip
If you’re attending the spring trip, please make sure you’re staying caught up on payments via your Green Light login. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Tuesday
1st Violins - 7:30 to 8:30
All Strings - 4:15 to 5:30
Wednesday
Violas - 4:30 to 5:30
Thursday
2nd Violins - 7:30 to 8:30
Full Orchestra - 4:15 to 6:00 - Including all strings!
Friday
Cellos - 4:30 to 5:30
